M's Scout Leader has been really good about sending us an email and a few pictures to let us know what the boys are up to (I really think it is to let us mom's know our sons are still alive and allay our fears). Here is what is going on as of yesterday:
Hello from Camp Sequoyah!
Today began with distant thunder, but dry. It was Luau day.
Things went a little smoother today -- the guys have found where everything is.
After lunch, 4 boys and 3 adults went to "mile swim practice" -- we had to swim a 1/4 mi. Most had finished when it was cut short by distant thunder.
This afternoon, half our boys went to the range, while the rest went to perform a conservation project -- we helped clear a trail for the insect study teacher.
After supper, Troop 351 continued our tradition of performing well in the races. They held a Camp Sequoyah 5k run -- Elliott Kliesner won the boy's division and Mr. Ogle won the adult division.
Finally, this evening, the weather made good on its threat to rain and it poured. The boys were in tents playing cards and having fun.
Today's pictures are of our group this morning, the Eco Lodge, where all the environmental classes are taught, our camp sign, and the "Inventing" merit badge class.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day
