Day 1 of Camp Sequoyah....so far so good. My worries of venomous snakes, poisonous spiders and getting lost in the woods have not come to fruition. Ah, the beauty of electronics...the Scout Leader has sent us an email to put the worried mamas fears to rest...for a little while....

We had a great first day at camp. The weather was sunny and warm. Our guys found all their classes and started learning. We are figuring out where everything is and how the mess hall works.
Today was Elvis day -- thank you, thank you very much!
This afternoon we started on our camp gateway and went swimming in the lake. Very refreshing!
Tonight some of our more adventurous boys went to "Adventure Valley" and had fun in the mud.
