Wright Patterson NICU

Remember how I told you two of three of my little people ended up in NICU upon their arrival? Did I mention it was the very same NICU? Both girls spent time here even though they were born 12 1/2 years apart and we moved from OH to NM to CA to GA to AL and back to OH.

This is a picture of Little Miss H and Miss Roo hanging out in the NICU. They got along then, not sure what happened.

H and M

I am busy browsing a picture disc from our old computer trying to find the spectacular pictures of fall in Massachusetts we took one day while "leaf peeping." I am not having any luck finding them but I did find this precious picture of my two little people.

When M came home from the hospital, H would pat her lap indicating she wanted to hold him. She loved it, him? Not so much...I will have to remember to bang out a blog entry on how H wouldn't talk to me while I was in the hospital after M's birth. I am not sure if she was angry with me or scared because I didn't look so good. :-)

Santa

When we lived in Massachusetts, the mall had the most authentic looking Santa I had ever seen. When our little H met the man in the big red suit...well...see for yourself.

Roo's First Day Out

Two of three of my children landed in NICU when entering the real world. Two of those three were told not to mingle with people for the first few weeks of their lives...here is child number one making her debut...she was about to be the Belle of the Ball at her first Chapel service. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Not the greatest video but recording M is like shooting at...gosh, can't think of a good comparison. Recording M is a challenge. Enough said.

Bugs

What a fall, the sky is gray and the leaves are turning beautiful shades of gold and crimson...and germs have infested my home. I have had a cough for over 6 weeks and the doctor gave me antibiotics for bronchitis and here I am now on my 3rd round of antibiotics and getting tested for pertussis...yep, that thing you vaccinate your kids against, the "P" in the "DPT" shot.

But wait, there is more...the males in the family have swine flu...giving men are pigs a whole new meaning. I can joke about this because it was a very mild case of the flu and trust me, my little guy has been way sicker thant this. The bad part is he had to stay home from school for a week and he had lots of energy since he wasn't that ill. I knew he had to have H1N1 because he had a flu shot, it's too early for the big flu and so off to the doctor we went...he got swabbed and yep, swine flu.

You know I joke about my blogs being written in less than three minutes and it is true...did I ever mention how much H talks...she is talking now, so I close before I start keying in what she is saying instead of my rambling thoughts...

What I Have Learned About God

Knowledge about God and heaven through the eyes of my 5 and 7 year old provide wonderful insights to the character of God. I have always known that God is all powerful, knows all things, and the story of God's affect on Moses causing Moses to have to wear a veil to cover his brightness from being in the presence of God is amazing to me...but I learned more about his knowledge and brightness from my children last week.

The next morning, I drove the kids to school and H announced we would have to wear sunglasses in heaven because God is so bright. I hadn't thought of that possibility...I have only heard of streets of gold...never really thought of the brightness of His presence.

These are two things I learned about God last week. I can't wait to learn more!
