After Graduation

We had the lovely Roo as our tour guide for a free one time only peek around Space Camp...H wanted to do the rock wall, M sat it out!

I apologize for it coming out sideways...I have no idea how to flip it!

Roo's Graduation as a Counselor for Space Camp

This is in 9 parts since I couldn't do anything over 60 seconds (I was using my camera for the video)

Here is our girl graduating from her training. She worked hard and had the time of her life. I can't wait to hear how her first day flying solo went today.

We are all very proud of her for being in the top of her class academically and winning the top award for having "The Right Stuff!"

Recital Pictures

The Piano Recital

H had her first recital today. She played three duets with dear old dad. (Dad realized after playing her probably should have warmed up a bit since the keys on a grand are different than our studio piano's) H had fun and is sooo proud of herself. :-)

The recital was held at Roo's college and this is the first time I have seen it. It is a very quaint school with lots of southern charm.

What Brothers do at their Sister's Recital

Okay, here is the first video from today's recital. A perfect insight into the character of M.

While I was Waiting

I was uploading today's recital (still in the queue) and was watching this bit of Christmas Chaos. I don't think I have shared it...so here goes!

Yoga Day

I have been very stressed the past few weeks working on my high school reunion...we'll just leave which decade of the reunion out of this...for now.

I just knew going to yoga this morning would be the cure to stress and bring me a happy little soul. I dropped off the kids at school, came home to clean up the breakfast mess, answered some emails, scooted around in high gear to get to class on time, was frustrated by construction and road work while keeping my eye on the clock in the car realizing my stress level is increasing while I am trying to decrease it. Hmmm.

I get to class, find a spot, and suddenly, I realized there is a sub...uh oh, he is known for not using music and not striking a lot of poses. Today, plank position was his favorite. I could have screamed. Plank plank plank plank plank with a warrior 1 or 2 thrown in...my wrists hurt and my mind pondered when the relaxation was going to kick in...never happened. Oh well, there is always Wednesday's class.

Going to Carolina

In my mind I'm goin' to Carolina
Can't you see the sunshine
Can't you just feel the moonshine
Ain't it just like a friend of mine
To hit me from behind
Yes I'm goin' to Carolina in my mind

` James Taylor

I had the wonderful opportunity to catch up with some old friends from high school this past weekend. Mom, if you're reading this, that is Pam Taylor and Steve Welch from my Jr. High/High School days.

We had such a great visit. You would never know it has been 30 years since we have seen each other. It was like I had never lost touch with them. Steve said his jaw hurt on Sunday from talking so much...probably true. Good friends. I am blessed.

Oh! And there really is moonshine in NC still ;-)

Mr. Creative

Mr. M has been busy with his Legos and Gears. I wish I had a picture of the awesome camera he built. Unfortunately, my husband dismantled it while I was away for the weekend before I could get a picture. M brought me the camera so I could record his space vehicle and I snapped a picture of the Lego jeep he built...all by himself. He snapped a picture of his pontoon boat. :-)
